The opening of Bistrot Bourguignon in 2022 marked a milestone for Christophe Meux, a passionate restaurateur deeply rooted in his craft and his region. Originally from northern Côte-d’Or, he trained in Châtillon-sur-Seine at the renowned restaurant La Côte d’Or, where he discovered both high culinary standards and the warmth of a family-run kitchen — values he now brings to life in his own establishment.
The bistrot is housed in a building steeped in history. While the stone walls date back centuries, the space now pulses with renewed energy. Christophe has completely renovated the interior with care, preserving its soul: the original bar still stands, a testament to its past as Beaune’s oldest wine bar. Today, the atmosphere blends rustic charm with contemporary style — exposed beams, aged stone and a clean, understated decor that creates the perfect setting for conviviality and the pleasure of sharing good food and wine.
